Urban Meyer was at a high school football camp in Michigan last Wednesday. Meyer gave a short speech to the campers and said that if Ohio State doesn’t already have talent from the state of Michigan, they will in the future. There are currently only 2 listed players on the 2012 roster from the state of Michigan.
Meyer was not there alone as Michigan’s Brady Hoke, Eastern Michigan’s Ron English, Alabama-Birmingham coach Garrick McGee, and Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi were also there.
I’m not sure why this is a big deal considering it’s Urban Meyer and Ohio State and he should be able to recruit anywhere in the country without a problem, even in Michigan’s backyard.
meyer needs to stay out of michigan and get his players from ohio or the south. I’m tired of osu taking top michigan players.
Allow me to explain what the “problem” might be! Ohio State is a tarnished name in College Football right now. They have been caught cheating in more ways than one, some of their players have wound up in jail and Ohio State University thinks it is business as usual. Didn’t they learn anything from their past discrepancies???
if not for ohio and the fine individuals in the state (ohio) that know how to play football that sorry team up north would not have a chance in any conference as you can see the last 7 year so suck it up all you wolverkittens and realize ohio is where its at
Where what is at? Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Dayton, Akron, and Columbus. Rusty, dirty, and not fun. That being said, Michigan as a state isn’t very good until you get into the UP…read Flint, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Sterling Heights – yikes! Midwest will never be ‘where its (sic) at’. Sorry Fred.
