The Iowa Hawkeyes have announced the September 8th game against instate rivals the Iowa State Cyclones will feature throwback uniforms. The throwback uniforms are a tribute to Iowa’s 1921-1922 undefeated teams.

The above photo taken by Sport’s Business Journal writer Don Muret (above) shows the entire uniform, although the color balance is a bit off. A second photo (below) by Big Ten Network’s Brent Yarina shows the yellow of the jersey is closer to the familiar Hawkeye Old Gold yellow.
What do you think of these throw-back jerseys? Solid gold helmets? No Tigerhawk? What about the jersey design? Let us know in the comments section below.
No matter what they should ALWAYS have the Tiger hawk logo even with throwback jerseys!!
Clint, you are a very wise man.
Luv the Hawks, but make me puke!
They look too much like Purdue’s uniforms
Hawk Helmets should ALWAYS have Tiger Hawk and ANF.
