Monday afternoon Michigan coach Brady Hoke suspended sophomore DE Frank Clark. Clark is charged with second-degree home invasion in Washtenaw County’s 14th District Court, a felony “punishable by imprisonment for not more than 15 years or a fine of not more than $3,000.00, or both.” Clark is accused of stealing a MacBook computer from a dorm room at Michigan’s Stockwell Hall on June 14. Clark is schedule to appear in court August 2.
“We are aware of the case regarding football student-athlete Frank Clark,” Hoke said in a statement. “This is a serious accusation and we will follow the lead of the judicial system. Frank was and will continue to be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Clark played in 12 games as a freshman with 10 tackles. Clark was expected to contend for a starting spot on Michigan’s defensive line. This is the second Wolverine Hoke has suspended today after suspending Fitzgerald Toussaint after his DUI arrest Saturday night.
