Arkansas State coach Gus Malzahn dismisses Michael Dyer from team

According to Chris Bahn, Arkansas State head coach Gus Malzahn has dismissed RB Michael Dyer from the team.

Michael Dyer has been dismissed from the ASU football team for “violating team rules.”

Gus Malzahn said the following about the dismissal:

“I am truly disappointed that it didn’t work out here at ASU for Mike,” said Malzahn.  “I wish Mike nothing but the best in the future.”

Dyer transferred to Arkansas State after being suspended indefinitely by Gene Chizik at Auburn where he was the MVP of the 2010 BCS Championship game.
