After USC Trojans head coach Lane Kiffin said he wouldn’t vote USC number 1, he did and people got all worked up over it. Now he is saying he will not submit any more votes for the Coaches Poll.
“It is an opportunity and responsibility that I do not take lightly, however, I find it necessary to relinquish my voting status.”
When asked about his poll last Friday, Kiffin shrugged off the whole situation.
“Not a big deal. You guys asked me about RichRod and I was saying I wouldn’t put us No. 1. I was saying that because of our issues with numbers, from (the perspective of) other people. Did I vote us No. 1? Yeah. I said that when they called me, before they even told me.”
Since he’s got some free time now that he won’t be paying attention to the rest of the country because he won’t be voting on them, he could look into playing some online bingo, maybe at www.partybingo.com. That could help him pass the time. Or maybe Kiffin could just be a man and vote his team number one like every other coach whose team is ranked in the top 5.
