Former LSU player Chad Jones is on a remarkable journey
Former LSU safety Chad Jones is working to get back to the NFL. Jones was drafted in the 3rd round by the New York Giants, but tragically saw his chances of playing in the NFL diminish after he was involved in a horrific accident in New Orleans. Jones’ tire caught on one of the trolley tracks that run parallel with the road and whipped into a pole that didn’t have any give in it. The car was completely destroyed and had crushed Jones’ leg to the point that doctors thought he may lose it. Had it not been for the muscle in his leg he may have lost his leg completely.
Jones, since that day 2 years ago when he almost lost his leg, has been working hard to return to the NFL and just recently had the metal in his leg removed so that he may further heal in order to return in 2013.
