Monkey Predicts Iowa – Iowa State Rivalry Game

Thursday morning in the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa, a Japanese macaque predicted that Iowa will be the victor in the state’s rivalry game this weekend. Last year, the monkeys successfully chose the Cyclone to take home the Cy-Hawk trophy.

The macaques have always correctly guessed the winner of the rivalry, however last year was the first time the monkey attempted to predict the winner of a football game. The alpha-male macaque chose one of two university-labeled barrels topped with treats.

The Hawkeyes and Cyclones will play at 2:30, Saturday, in Iowa City, and may be viewed on the B1G Network.
