The Razorbacks have had a pretty rough off-season and Saturday’s loss probably didn’t make their fans feel anymore confident in interim coach John L Smith.
The Hogs were trucking along fine until quarterback Tyler Wilson was knocked out with a head injury before half-time. Wilson was unable to return to the game and that definitely hurt the Razorbacks offense in the second half. With Wilson out, ULM quarterback Kolton Browning took charge and lead the Warhawks back and tied the game at 28 with 47 seconds left. Arkansas took the field and backup quarterback Brandon Allen threw an interception with 20 seconds left in the game.
In overtime Allen was 0 – 5 and the Hogs had to settle for a field goal. ULM took full advantage and Browning went 2 – 2 and rushed the ball into the end zone to win the game for the Warhawks.
The Arkansas loss probably solidifies John L’s “interim” job.
