Nebraska’s Head coach Bo Pelini is reported to have left at half time against Arkansas State. Pelini reported suffering from flu-like symptoms before the game. Pelini’s pulse was taken on the sideline during the game by trainers. Pelini also had to sit for a few minutes during the first half.
At half time, Pelini left Memorial Stadium in an ambulance and was taken to a Lincoln area hospital. Defensive Coordinator John Papuchis is believed to be the acting coach on the sidelines.
The Huskers managed to defeat Arkansas State 13-42 and held the Huskers to 285 total yards.
EDIT: Pelini has released a statement, “Everything is fine, precautionary tests. Proud of our team and I’ll be back at work tomorrow.”
