Texas A&M’s move to the SEC has encouraged them to follow through with expanding Kyle Field.
The university has planned to spend up to $450 million on expansion and renovations. Chancellor John Sharp mentioned this to a group of local officials at a meeting Monday afternoon. The group then discussed some of the costs that would go along with the expansion and the numbers ranged from $425 to $450 million and seating ranged from 93,000 to 103,500 over a 3 year period.
This isn’t the first time we’ve mentioned Kyle Field being expanded. Back in June we published an artist rendering, seen below, of what the expansions may look like. The artist had apparently submitted the rendering to A&M as one of many submissions for what the future Kyle Field would look like.
