It was just last week that we saw Lane Kiffin get a little upset with the media after a practice when he was asked about an injury, now his cross-town counterpart UCLA coach Jim Mora, has done the same thing.
According to Bruins Nation, Mora kicked the media out of practice after he saw that there were cameras set up in a restricted area.
Mora went on to blame the Sports Information Department at UCLA saying that there were “some issues with the department”. Mora went on to clarify that the media was only kicked out for the day.
“Our practices are open. Our practices will be open tomorrow,” Mora said. “Today’s practice was closed because we didn’t have proper security. I’m not going to jeopardize what we’re doing as a football team because of the incompetence of some people.”
After the moves by both coaches, the LA Times has decided that they will not attend either school’s practices anymore.
I’m sure that after hearing this news both Kiffin and Mora smiled a little. Why wouldn’t they?
