Auburn is an 8 point underdog heading into this weekend’s game against Vanderbilt. That should say it all.
Tennessee lost to Mississippi State last weekend dropping their 3 game in their last 4. If Dooley can’t muster a win against a top 25 SEC team he may as well pack his bags. The Vols have yet to face Alabama and South Carolina.
Southern Miss lost two games under Larry Fedora, so far Ellis Johnson has won none. Tough to fight going from 12 – 2 to 0 – 6 in one year.
Hawaii hired Chow hoping he could replace June Jones and run the vaunted Norm Chow offense that really has only worked at one place. So far it’s not going so well as Hawaii is 1 – 5.
Everyone knows why Mack is on this list. The Longhorns started their season 4 – 0 and have followed those wins with two devastating losses, one to West Virginia in a close game at home, and one to Oklahoma in an absolutely embarrassing display. Brown is making a lot of money at Texas and 8 wins just won’t cut it when you have the recruiting pull that the Longhorns have. If Mack can’t pull out some quality Big 12 wins, he’ll be facing a lot of heat soon.
