South Carolina Gamecocks running back Marcus Lattimore dislocated his right knee against the Tennessee Volunteers yesterday.
While Spurrier wouldn’t elaborate on the injury, he did release a statement.
“We’re optimistic his football days are still ahead of him,” Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said. “There is a history of guys coming back from this.”
Marcus Lattimore damaged “several” ligaments but did not suffer a break or any other injury, school says in release.

The injury was very gruesome and some were speculating that Lattimore had broken his femur and torn all the ligaments in his knee. Thankfully, the dislocated knee is something that Lattimore will be able to come back from.
Lattimore was returning this season after suffering an ACL tear last year that brought his 2011 season to a halt.
