No SEC team in the BCS title game talk went away quickly

The game of college football is one of great uncertainty. Nothing is ever guaranteed. Each week brings a new challenge and no matter who your team is facing, there is a chance that they may lose.

Oregon and Kansas State were both undefeated going into Saturday and both looked pretty unstoppable. I won’t lie, I didn’t think either would lose myself (although I leaned more toward a K St loss), but once again college football proved us all wrong as both went down.

With two of the top three undefeated teams losing, the door has once again been opened for the SEC. Alabama and Georgia control their destiny to the BCS title game, and for that matter, Florida may also.

An all SEC championship game? OH NO!

Oh yes!

Should Notre Dame lose to USC, which now seems like a longshot with Matt Barkley not playing, and Alabama beat Georgia, a Florida win over Florida State could put a 1 loss Alabama and 1 loss Florida in the title game. The two didn’t play during the regular season so it wouldn’t be a re-match.

But once again, this is college football, and for all we know Auburn, USC, UCLA, Georgia Tech x2, Texas, Arkansas, and Oregon State could all win next weekend and prove that no one knows anything about anything that involves college football.
