Northern Illinois is the surprise of the post season after receiving an invite to the Orange Bowl to face the Florida State Seminoles.
Now, in order to help ensure that their school’s turnout at the game is good, the university is giving away tickets to any student who will head to the game.
This isn’t out of the norm for Northern Illinois explains associate AD Donna Turner:
“It’s fairly standard for us to offer free tickets to students,” Turner said. “This is something that is extremely important to us. When the (bowl) came about, it didn’t take us long to make tickets free as well.”
The school has also provided tickets for bowl games and the MAC Championship game for the last few years.
