Florida Gators quarterback Jacoby Brissett

Florida Gators backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett is transferring out.

Coach Will Muschamp said that Brissett “expressed an interest in transferring and getting a fresh start.”

Brissett started only 3 games in his two seasons with the Gators and lost the quarterback competition this season with Jeff Driskel.

Brissett has 455 yards and 3 touchdowns with 4 interceptions in his playing time.

He is apparently considering West Virginia, Louisville, Arkansas, NC State, and Duke. Out of those schools, West Virginia, Arkansas, and NC State make the most sense for Brissett. At Louisville Brissett would sit behind Teddy Bridgewater, who will be a Heisman contender to start the 2013 season.
