Former Mississippi State Bulldogs wide receiver Chad Bumphis tweeted out something very interesting today.
Bumphis tweeted that with National Signing Day approaching, his advice to recruits is to avoid the money.
The Bumphis tweet could mean one of two things:
1. He avoided the money and chose to be a Bulldog.
2. He took the money and hated his time at Mississippi State and now doesn’t care.
I lean towards the first option with the way that Bumphis followed up his initial tweet. Either way, this may spark the NCAA to look into Bumphis’ comment.
The Bumphis tweet caused Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze to defend his school and recruiting practices on twitter (tweet has since been deleted and Bumphis would have been recruited by former Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt).

Bumphis won this round against Ole Miss, but come tomorrow evening Ole Miss may possibly have the number 1 recruiting class in the country, something Mississippi State has to my knowledge … never had.
Bumphis had a great senior season with 58 catches for 922 yards and 12 touchdowns.
