The Boise State Broncos may not be able to wear their all-blue uniforms on their blue home turf.
The NCAA has a proposed rule that would require teams to wear contrasting colors to the turf.
The NCAA Football Rules Committee proposed several rules changes on Wednesday, including this one: To require teams to have either their jersey or pants contrast in color to the playing field.
The proposed rule change must be adopted by the Playing Rules Oversight Panel. The panel meets March 6 and typically approves the recommendations of the Football Rules Committee.
Other teams have claimed this has been an advantage for the Broncos and TV has confirmed that the uniforms are quite annoying to watch.
While Boise State’s uniforms have received most of the attention, this would mean a change for teams like North Texas, Marshall, Tulane, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, and Eastern Washington.
