Arkansas State made a potentially spectacular hire when they grabbed Auburn’s offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, and now they are going to make that known within the state.
This billboard will appear in Jonesboro at the I-40/I-55 split, the Highway 67/I-40 split in Little Rock, and the I-30 bridge in Little Rock. Arkansas State has also targeted Texarkana and Fort Smith as potential spots for the ad also.
“We’re trying to raise our level in all areas,” Malzahn said. “This is just one of the pieces to the puzzle of taking our program to where we want it to be. Marketing is part of that.”
Malzahn has been all over the state of Arkansas lately. He has been featured on local, regional, and national interviews since he took the job.
“We’re trying to reach out to the state,” Malzahn said. “Little Rock is very important to us and we’re going to recruit this state. Our goal is to recruit this state like it has never been recruited before.”
Malzahn will be building on the success that Hugh Freeze left him after a 10 win season, and will be expected to make the Red Wolves even more relevant in the state.
The Red Wolves spring game is set for April 14th, at 1pm, and they hope to have plenty of people there.
