SEC fans do not take lightly to being taunted or … winning.
There was that whole poisoning the trees thing, then there was that tea bagging thing after the BCS championship game, and now there’s just a guy chanting “War Eagle” in a Whataburger getting pummeled in the face. Fans of the schools in the great state of Alabama just can’t seem to stay out of the spotlight.
The NWFDailyNews reported that a man standing in line at Whataburger at 2:20 in the morning (probably #drunj) was punched by two strangers after repeatedly chanting “War Eagle,” according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Obviously, the guy wasn’t thinking clearly, or he wouldn’t have provoked the angry Florida fanbase.
According to a police report filed by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, a man standing in line at the local Whataburger franchise had been “repeatedly chanting ‘War Eagle'” when a “brief argument” broke out between the man and two strangers in the restaurant. The argument ended with both of the strangers reportedly punching the presumed Auburn fan “near his left eye with a closed fist.”
Per the report, the alleged victim returned the punch, but the assailants fled on foot. One of the two stopped in the parking lot long enough, however, to also punch (in the face) a man sitting on top of a car hood. The second victim was the brother of a woman who had been with the first victim inside the Whataburger.
No arrests were reported as the assailants fled the scene. They did, however, pay for their transgressions by having to leave behind their Whataburger meals.
Bravo to you Auburn fan, for fighting back, but come on SEC bros, can’t we all just get along?
And now Auburn bros, I give you Takeo Spikes. Who, unfortunately for the Auburn fan, was not present at the Whataburger. (after the break)
