Robert Nkemdiche’s Mom: His decision is not final

Clemson Tigers recruit Robert NkemdicheRobert Nkemdiche, a stud defensive end from Loganville, Georgia, committed to Clemson back in June but is now saying that Ole Miss is still in the picture.

Nkemdiche told ESPN Recruiting Nation that Ole Miss was making a strong push and his mom wants him to go there.

“My recruitment is crazy still, and Ole Miss is making a push for me,” Nkemdiche said. “It does not matter to my dad, but my mom wants me to go to Ole Miss and we are still talking about it, so we have not come to an agreement on it yet. It is tugging my heart in two different directions.”

Even though Nkemdiche has committed to play for Clemson with his buddies Wayne Gallman and David Kamara, his brother is currently a redshirt freshman at Ole Miss and that could possibly, along with his mother’s opinion, sway his decision away from Clemson.

“His decision is not final,” Beverly Nkemdiche said. “He’s just a teenager, and people are forgetting that. We had never discussed Clemson, and I am unhappy with Clemson. I’m not there, so I don’t know for certain, but I feel like Robert was pressured into this decision.”

Unfortunately Nkemdiche doesn’t seem like he’s going to be able to play where HE wants to play. It’s actually quite sad that a mom would tell her son that she is unhappy with him attending ANY college on a full scholarship.

Editors opinion: This choice should be made with his parents blessing, not with a mother telling him what to do.
